My husband and I had the pleasure to sit down with Linda Bendorf (writer for the Chicago Tribune) for an up-close and personal interview about the business. We sat down with her at her house over wine and cheese and it was great fun recounting some of our early experiences and reasons we went into the business. Linda was great at pulling memories I had completely forgotten about

The article was originally just going to be in the online version, but the editor liked the article so much that he put it on the front page of today’s (11/26) print edition! If you’re in the NW burbs of chicago, pick up a copy, or you can read it here:

I had some incredible shoots this fall. It was so hard to choose a few to put up here, but these are some of my favorites. Hope you enjoy! – Elizabeth

These are black and whites of my 3 year old. I love the moodiness you can get from a rich black and white. I use this kind of black and white more sparingly because it can have a sophisticated feel, but in this case, I thought it was a great fit.

I shot Paige when she turned two back in ‘06. The family since moved to Ohio. I was thrilled to get a call that they were coming back into town. Now their little one, Sara, is turning two! I had the honor of taking her two year old pics! Mom wanted something that would match Paige’s square canvas. I think we got some fun ones that showed off Sara’s vibrant personality! It was also a blast seeing how Paige has grown. What a sweetheart!

I loved the closeness shared between this brother and sister. It’s a rare, beautiful thing. I didn’t have to ask them to move closer in during the shoot…they actually WANTED to

I’m working with the most wonderful families right now which is part of a larger project to create some great photos for a wall gallery at a local pediatric dentist’s office. Here are just some of the fresh faces that have graced my studio.
