pretty window light…

Shooting using natural window light is one of my favorite venues. My eyes lit up like a Christmas tree when I saw this big, beautiful window seat in the guestroom. When I arrived, the little girl was with her auntie having her hair french braided, and then it was time for her to put on her beautiful dress. It all came together so elegantly. We also focused on her new baby brother, as well. I loved the ones of them together. After the shoot, before I had even zipped up my camera bag, she had changed into a Bears jersey (just her size!) and was ready to “kick back” with dad to watch the game:)

sisters at home…

I had so much fun visiting the home of these girls. We had always done something on location (beach, gardens, etc) and at the last minute, decided to keep it simple and right at home. What a fun morning we had! Beautiful weather and a casual setting. We went on their beautiful back deck and the lighting was perfect! These sisters are the most easygoing, fun people to be around. I was so glad they didn’t take things too seriously and just goofed around and had fun with it. Upon arrival, I also got a tour of their beautiful home which made me smile. They pointed out all their favorite pics, from previous shoots, that they loved and framed. I love my job!:)

on the golf course…

I love different venues and being on the golf course for this shoot was serene and beautiful. I also enjoyed “palling around” with one of my favorite families:).

beach day

Love this family! I remember when their eldest was just a baby (sniff, sniff). So fun to see them each summer around this same time. The beach is always a great venue for pictures. I’m especially fond of this location with the beach grass, trees and water.

mommy and me…

This beautiful mother is expecting her second in just a couple months. Before the new arrival, she wanted to capture some key moments with her 4 year old daughter. Great job projecting forward! I think most would overlook that pivotal time when it’s still just the two of them!
